RADAR I & II & III series
In the beginning
Hot Air Balloon offers a ‘bird’s eye view’ direct look down tipping over nearness to the Earth energy systems showing prairie cultivated fields of patterns and patchwork around the natural topography. The evening sun shadows insisting on lush texture and variegated surface - of greenery, next to rough dirt, next to water, the land a voluptuous sculpture. The heaviness and depth of forms are solid under a streaming electric sensory transmission, of air currents and of the stops and starts of wing beats. Radiated information - mineral, magnet, migrated memory. Of ancient pathways, repetition over millennium, the instinctual knowing or sensing of safe passage.Bird’s eye view. Lush texture, variegated patterns, direct look down. Memory, migration, magnetics, minerals; ancient pathways.
Feeling of flight, the weight of air.
Seeking of necessary life sustaining water, shelter.
The pattern of yearly repetition,
Knowing or sensing safe passage.
Rapid movements; the wings, bird heartbeat, vibration.Resolution solid under a constant stream of electric information currents. Reflected light, heat or cool sensations coming up off the earth’s surface, Emulate these elements with fine lines of paint; a controlled striping of brilliant colours; stops and starts in transmission. Feel the ground.
